30 Tech Tips To Try This Year – MASBO
This week I was invited to the Manitoba Association of School Business Officials (MASBO) NW Regional meeting that is held annually in Russell, Manitoba. This group is comprised of school division employees in the fields of finance, maintenance, transportation, and human resources. My involvement in this meeting was to deliver professional development at their opening evening following a welcome supper.
Given that this audience is diverse in the way in which they use technology, and the fact that we had both Google and Microsoft divisions, I was somewhat hesitant on what the best topic might be to ensure it was practical for everyone.
After consultation with their team, it was requested that I revamp a session I had shared at the February 2023 BYTE Conference to tailor the tips to this unique audience (compared to BYTE which was tailored for classroom teachers).
The evening ran so smoothly and, from a presenters perspective, I felt that there was a lot of engagement and positive reviews.
I had an opportunity to chat with several MASBO members following the event to expand on some of the information that was shared and was even able to book some future speaking engagements.
