It’s Not Goodbye – It’s See You Later
From university and student teaching, to classroom teacher and maternity leaves, to Coordinator of ICT…. and everything in between. After over 13 years of documentation on this blog I will be stepping back as I enter a new chapter for myself.
I am excited to announce that I have accepted a position with MERLIN as the first educator to join their team! While MERLIN is no stranger to me, I have worked alongside them since beginning my position with MVSD, they may be new to some who are reading.
In their own words:
Manitoba Education Research and Learning Information Networks (MERLIN) was established in 1995 as a special operating agency with the Department of Education. It was formed as a facilitating body to coordinate the delivery of technology services to the education community across Manitoba.
This position will see me in a dual role: 1. Marketing and Communication – supporting MERLIN in their online presence and holistic outreach (website, social media, client outreach) 2. Project Manager – supporting the education community through Professional Development facilitation and consulting. As this is a new position within the organization, I am sure there will be much evolvement over time, and I am excited to see where this new journey will take me.
With this role being one that will have me sharing in the online space heavily on behalf of MERLIN, I have made the conscious decision to pause my own sharing through the blog. Is this forever? Honestly, I am not sure. For right now though, I want to ensure that I am able to devote the energy and creativity required into the correct avenues.
I will still be sharing about my professional adventures through my social media channels so follow along with the pinned links at the top of the blog to not lose me!
