Follow Friday – #MVSD_MB

Every Friday I share what I believe to be a notable person/organization/school on our social media pages to assist our staff in the development of their online Personal Learning Network.

This Friday I’d like to re-post content that was originally shared out in the spring of 2020. March is a crazy whirlwind for educators and it is often a time where we all find ourselves going a bit stir-crazy. Usually, the month is filled with spirit activities that help break up this time but many of those activities are not currently possible. Connecting and sharing with colleagues can help boost your spirit and help you find new ideas!

One of the projects I was excited to undertake when I took on this role was the curation of our divisional social media pages.  The purpose of this project was:

– to help build community
– to assist with effective and appropriate use of these platforms
– to establish some level of consistency in regards to messaging

We are now up to over 80 accounts across various social media platforms!  We have a social media link database in our MVSD ICT Resources notebook and staff are encouraged to add their info into this list as new accounts are created.

Staff are encouraged to use our hashtag #mvsd_mb as a way to curate our content across various platforms.  I invited you to search the hastag on your platform of choice to see what is available for view.
