Did you know that Manitoba is a Canadian leader when it comes to eSports? eSports (electronic sports) involves competition using video games and MVSD currently has an eSports presence at both Ecole Macneill, Mackenzie Middle School and the DRCSS (coming this fall). Microsoft eSports Teacher Academy (META)
“New to esports? Microsoft Esports Teacher Academy (META) teaches the role of esports in education and career pathways, how to integrate esports in educational settings, and how to build a thriving esports program in your school through immersive exploration of Minecraft: Education Edition.
After completing this learning path, you’ll be able to:
- Describe the role and benefits of esports in education
- Explain how to establish an esports club in your learning community
- Articulate how to utilize Minecraft: Education Edition in esports
- Build a Minecraft Esports tournament to support skill development and social impact
