Follow Friday – MVSD Strategic Plan

On Fridays I share what I believe to be a notable person/organization/school on our social media pages to assist our staff in the development of their online Personal Learning Network.

Here in MVSD we are completing the second in a series of one-year divisional plans as our last comprehensive plan, which was a 5-year strategic plan, concluded in 2020/21 in the midst of the Covid-19 pandemic. As is no surprise, the landscape of education has changed drastically in the past 3 years and our Board of Trustees has also experienced a change following the recent election period. With this in mind, it is time to once again embark on a long-term strategic plan. I joined the MVSD team in 2019 so I am really looking forward to this process for the first time. As stated on our divisional website:

“This year the Board wants to reignite the planning process and hear from its various stakeholders. This planning process aims to develop a new multi-year plan shaped by the engagement the Board will have with all of its communities. 

This discussion document is intended to provide context for these discussions. It is a living document and does not contain all of the information that will be shared as the plan is developed. Rather, it will provide not only the context but also the environment that exists in which Mountain View operates.”
