WOW Wednesday – MVSD Families

WOW Wednesday – MVSD Families

Every Wednesday I highlight some of our amazing MVSD staff on our social media pages. Everyday our staff are using tech in new and exciting ways, are learning new skills, and are sharing ways in which ed tech is assisting them in their practice.

This week I wanted to shift this practice and highlight our MVSD families who have stepped up to the challenge and are also learning new skills as they work to navigate the role tech plays in their children’s lives.

Our Community Outreach program is back for our spring session offerings. This program has been designed to work with MVSD families so that they feel informed, confident, and prepared to use technology with the children in their lives. You can read more about our past program offerings HERE.

Our spring 2020 sessions were able to take place in person (pre-pandemic in February of 2020) and then virtually through our divisional Facebook page. In preparation for our 2021 sessions we are currently in the process of surveying our stakeholders to determine their preference for content delivery as well as their topic choices. Our survey has been live for less than 24hrs and we already have over 20 families who have expressed interest (and the survey goes until the end of the month)!

I am thrilled to see participation from our MVSD families and cannot wait to learn and share alongside them this spring!

You can learn more about our proposed session topics and check out our stakeholder survey on our divisional website.
