Last week I shared our Year End Tech Checklist to assist our staff as they wrap up the 2019/20 school year.  One of those tasks focused on the use of online learning platforms, specifically looking at what to do with these environments at the end of the school year.  Following the use of these tools we are left with an environment that houses a lot of assignments, files, and written communication between class members.  


The majority of school divisions have some type of archive policy where they are asked to keep their records for a set period of time (when I was in the classroom this was 3-years) and the online sphere would apply to this as well.  The archival of online learning platforms also provides you with a template for future use and a space to come back to for future reference.


In MVSD our educators used either Class Dojo, SeeSaw, or Microsoft Teams for online delivery due to suspension of classes with Microsoft Teams being our “in house” platform as a Microsoft decision.  As such, my support directly focused on how to archive Microsoft Teams.
